China visa photo requirements are formulated in accordance with the DOC 9,303 document of ICAO, applicable to the requirements for the applicant’s photo when the Exit Entry Administration Department of the public security organ accepts all kinds of exit entry certificate applications

Requirements for taking photos

1. The applicant should keep an upright posture, at shoulder level, and face the camera.
2. The face of the applicant should be clear and visible, and the mask should not be worn (except for special situations such as religion and medical care).
3. The applicant shall not wear tinted glasses (except for disease reasons), and the lenses shall not reflect light when wearing glasses.
4. Applicants are not allowed to wear headwear (except for special cases such as religion and medical care), hats, and scarves (there should be no cover on the face and collar);
5. The applicant shall not wear standard clothes or clothes similar to the background color.
6. The background color is uniform, no gradient, no shadow, no other people or objects.

Basic requirements for photos

1. Recent (within 6 months) color photos;
2. The background color is uniform white, light gray, or light blue;
3. The photo is a front bareheaded head, with a clear portrait and natural expression.
4. photo size: 33mm × 48mm;
5. The portrait is horizontally centered in the photo rectangle, with a head width of 21-24mm and a head length of 28-33mm;
6. The portrait has accurate focus, clear layers, and true colors.
7. photos should not be processed (including decoration, adjustment, etc.);
8. The photo is well developed and printed, without stains, wrinkles, scratches, or borders.

Specifications of digital photo files

1. The file format is JPEG.
2. The image resolution is 300DPI.
3. pixel size: 354 pixels wide × 472 pixels high;
4. The file size is between 20 KB and 80 KB.

Examples of photographing requirements

1. Portrait location

9. Children
