Elementary Chinese
This program is divided into preliminary, intermediate and advanced levels, with each level further divided into 3 sub-levels. The curriculum includes comprehensive, listening, speaking and reading courses. Students can improve their Chinese communication skills through trainings of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
PROGRAM FEATURE
- Students will be grouped into different classes at appropriate levels, according to their interview results on registration day.
- Learning efficiency will be raised and lectures will be varied by the application of language lab and multi-media teaching equipment.
- Colorful language-practicing activities are held regularly, such as Chinese song singing contests, speech contests and essay writing contests.

Business Chinese
Business Chinese is one of the most important training programs in UIBE, and it fully reflects the academic characteristics and distinctive advantages. This program is divided into five levels. According to different levels of Chinese language skills, the program arranges corresponding courses including Business Chinese, Business Chinese Speaking, Listening and Reading.
PROGRAM FEATURE
- This program is designed for needs of business and cultural communication between China and foreign countries. It is suitable for students who have certain Chinese study backgrounds, and who are interested in business knowledge and Chinese business hot topics.
- This program elaborately selects authoritative business Chinese textbooks and adopts flexible teaching approaches. It is the integration of knowledge, practicability and communication.
- All the students can apply to enjoy free experiential learning through “Business Chinese Self-study and Self-evaluation System”.
- The program organizes students to go out for sightseeing, pay visits to scenic spots and historical monuments and experience Chinese culture.
- The program also arranges free visits for students to Chinese companies, transnational corporations, social institutions and living communities. Intensive Chinese
UIBE is the first university in China to start the intensive Chinese language training program. Through scientific and high-intensity curriculum arrangement and unique flexible inside and outside class teaching approaches, the program helps student make great progress in their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a short term.

- It presents the combination of collective and individualized teaching, and integration of classroom teaching and extra-curricular activities.

Foundation Course for Bachelor’s Programs
Through one academic year or only one spring semester’s full-time study in foundation course, students can improve their abilities in Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing, English and mathematics, and finally achieve the entry level of Bachelor’s programs offered in Chinese at UIBE.
Program Feature
- Students will be divided into different levels and classes according to their interview results. Teaching contents and methods will be adjusted based on different training tasks and objectives of each semester.
- The program sets Chinese language courses including listening, speaking, reading and writing, and combines with HSK remedial courses and simulation tests.
- According to academic characteristics and requirements of Bachelor’s programs in UIBE, the program also sets mathematics and English courses to promote students’ comprehensive abilities.
- All the students can apply to enjoy free experiential learning through “Business Chinese Self-study and Self-evaluation System”.
- Students shall take the regular tests each month in spring semester, and switch classes according to the test results, which can arouse students’ learning passion. Excellent students will move up to Bachelor’s programs directly.

3A Speed-Up Program for Business Chinese Listening & Speaking
3A Speed-up Program for Business Chinese Listening & Speaking (”3A” means Anybody, Anytime, and Any topic), is a language training program offered by School of International Education of University of International Business and Economics (UIBE-SIE) for international students who have the demand for relevant language skills and other foreigners across all industries especially in the field of trade and business in China. Furthermore, 3A Program is a practical and efficient learning shortcut for students who have no Chinese reading and writing background, and only want to have or improve Chinese listening and speaking abilities.
Program Feature
- The program adequately reflects distinctive features of UIBE in the field of Business Chinese language training, and assembles disciplines advantages and professional faculty.
- The program will rapidly improve learners’ Business Chinese communication skills through flexible course arrangement, unconstrained learning period, and concise and highly-efficient teaching method, which is an ideal choice for foreigners who only can study Chinese in their spare time.
- Students also can take part in all kinds of extracurricular activities for UIBE international students, such as International Cultural Festival, Chinese Debating Competition, Laowai Idol Competition, Top Ten Campus Singers Competition, etc.
Training Object: The program is suitable for foreigners who want to rapidly improve Chinese listening and speaking communication skills like staffs in embassies, consulates and foreign companies and foreign businessmen in China, and for international students that have the demand for relevant language skills.
