Questions
Frequently Asked Questions.
When should I start my application?
Most universities open applications in November for the following September intake. Start at least 6 months ahead to allow time for documents and scholarship applications.
What documents will I need?
Typically a passport, transcripts, diplomas, a personal statement, recommendation letters, a physical exam form, and a language certificate (HSK, or IELTS/TOEFL for English-taught programmes). We provide a personalised checklist for your exact case.
Can I apply for a scholarship at the same time?
Yes — and we recommend it. Our Full Service plan covers the CSC Government Scholarship and the Confucius Institute Scholarship, which can cover tuition, accommodation and a monthly stipend.
Do I need to speak Chinese?
Not necessarily. Hundreds of programmes are taught entirely in English. If you want a Chinese-taught programme we’ll help you reach the required HSK level, and we offer Mandarin tutoring either way.
What about my visa?
Once you’re admitted we guide you through the student visa (X1 for long-term study, X2 for short courses), including the JW202 form and all supporting documents, plus pre-departure and arrival support.
What if I’m not accepted?
If you are not accepted by any applied university and all documents were submitted accurately and on time, you are entitled to a full refund. Cancellations before the submission stage are eligible for a 50% refund. See our refund policy for full details.
